Rockingham Speedway
About
Rockingham Speedway, affectionately known as "The Rock", was North Carolina's first purpose-built superspeedway when it opened in 1965. Located in rural Richmond County, this 0.940-mile / 1.513 km D-shaped oval hosted NASCAR Cup Series races for nearly four decades before losing its Cup date in 2004.
